G-LAND – The place of the wave
we take you to get the best wave to surf in the world
G-LAND, Alat Purwo park on Java southeastern tip is home to that has become a world – famous surfing. G-Land is the freight train left harder that has several take off section, monster barrels and speeding walls. from the camp at pantai plengkung ( Plengkung Beach ), the reef stretches east up around the headland as far as they eye can see and, when a ground swell hits and big tubing left-handers line-up all the way round, its truly a sight to behold.
The break has four main section ; chicken, Kong’s, Money trees, Launching Pad and speediest.
Money Trees is probably the most consistent, but Launching Pads to speediest start as a wedging peak and runs into a grinding barrel over the sallow speed reef. they dry season trade winds are offshore and the wave works best and a solid ground swell of over 6ft turn on.Along walk further west of the camp along the beach may provide some good reef break if G-LAND is 10ft plus. Twenty – Twenties is a left hand reef break and TIGER TRACKS is a right.
RED ISLAND / PULAU MERAH, red island is located in the western of grajagan beach, about 1 hrs by drive, the break as red island is send bottom and a break left and right – hander for more biggest waves on high tide.

What to Brings : Surf Boards on arrival at Denpasar, it pay to carry some Indonesia Rupiah as officials sometimes charge a surfboard tax (import Duty)for bringing two or more boards into the country, try to refuse to pay.
Indonesia’s wave mostly break over shallow reefs and therefore break more sharply. Given this, you’ll need to have a view more inches underneath you to ovoid getting pitched on the takeoff. taking a quiver is a good idea. Seven feet to seven and half are the boards commonly used, but shorter boards are handy for Bali/Lombok and you’ll need a Boards around 8 ft if you are planning on tackling the big swells.
Accessories : you can buy most surf supplies in Kuta although it’s better to bring your own hard-soled boots, spare leg-roes, wax, rash shirt and full-strength sun block.
some of the waves in Indonesia break on shallow reef, so a surf helmet and a spring suit provide protection from the reef and sun.
most surf shops sell repair kits, although local ding repairers and found at Bali and lombok.
